It is the first day of June! What this means to you and I is that we are less then two weeks away from sinking our teeth into freshly picked corn-on-the-cob. A time of the year when every dinner is planned around it. Every refrigerator in North Texas has fresh Fuhrmann sweet corn within. Corn being thrown on the grill. Corn husks thrown over the nearby fence.
June also means it is time to clean out our freezers and make room for another year’s worth of sweet corn. Enough corn for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter gatherings. Corn chowder, corn bread, creamed corn, and all the other delicious recipes we create for our family and friends.
June is a special month indeed and has been for over 35 years. We enjoy sharing this sweet month and look forward to seeing you soon.
