Our father’s big round metal table and corn season have come full circle. Nearly all of his 14 grandkids have come around papa’s table this season. It does make us ponder why he continues to plant corn each year, whether for the thousands of corn customers, or simply for his own and ever-growing family. What started over 35 years ago and what afforded his own children the example of hard work has since become a strong and everlasting example to his grandkids. This year our father built a ten foot three inch round table and you (we) all gathered around it. With this we consider it another successful season and we can only look forward to the next.
